GRANT ROUND COMPLETE

Description

Hi, I am Silvia Brunotti!

I am 14 years old and have a huge opportunity ahead of me.

This year I have the opportunity to qualify for the US Women’s Golf Amateur Championships.  This would be an incredible experience for me, however, I can not get there without your support.

I thank you in advance for taking an interest in my story.

When I was just 3 years of age, my family and I emigrated from Italy to New Zealand.  At the age of 3, I started playing golf with My Father Claudio and this is where my love for golf really began.

I am a proud duel citizen of Italy and New Zealand and speak both Italian and English as if they were both my first language but I am, and will always represent New Zealand in all international tournaments.  I aspire to be an Olympian one day and on the LPGA Tour. Each and every day I am striving to become the best player that I can be. It has always been a dream of mine to reach number 1 in the world for my sport.  I have been inspired by the path of Lydia Ko, who is 6 years older than me and I believe that she has shown others that anything is possible.

I hit my first hole in one at the age of 6 and got to scratch at the age of 13. I have since hit 3 holes in one.  This year I entered the New Zealand Amateur Championship to test myself against the best women in New Zealand, with top competitors from Asia and Australia also competing. On the start date of the tournament, I was 60 days older than Lydia Ko when she first won it. I was determined to emulate that feat. After 4 days I won the tournament by 7 & 6 in the final by beating defending champion Rose Zheng.

“Brunotti showed large similarities to our best female golfer of all time with her extremely calm and bubbly manor as she slowly dissected Zheng, showing no sign of nerves” – New Zealand Herald 5th Nov 2017

I am really fortunate to have the combined talent and support of 4 others who guide me to reach my goals. My team includes; my Father Claudio (initial coach & caddy), my swing coach, personal trainer and mental performance coach. I am so grateful for all that they do to help me be the best that I can be.

Thank you so much for taking an interest in my story. It would mean the world to me if you were able to support my sporting journey.

Please help me in raising the necessary funds to travel and compete in the US Women’s Golf Amateur Championships!

Thank you in advance,

Silvia
