Hi, I’m Katelyn Mills, I am 17 years old and I play Volleyball.
I have recently been selected to represent Northland at the annual New Zealand Area Schools Tournament. This will be held in Christchurch and I need your help to get there.
I have played sport ever since I was young. Whether it was netball, rippa rugby or Ki-O-Rahi, I was always playing something. Four years ago I picked up volleyball and have loved it ever since. Currently, the main sports that I play are: netball, volleyball and football.
In early May 2018, I was chosen to play for the Northland Area Schools girls volleyball team. This opportunity means that I get to travel down to Christchurch to represent my region in a national competition. I train each lunchtime at school and being selected for Northland is a huge honour.
As I live in Whangarei I really need your help getting to Christchurch. I’m a student at Tauraroa Area School and I am working as a cleaner there after school. I’m working as hard as I can, however, the funds from my part time job will not be enough to get me there.
I really don’t want to miss out on this incredible opportunity so it would mean the world to me if you were able to contribute towards my trip.
