Hi, I’m Florence, I am 13 years old and I have been fortunate to be selected to represent New Zealand at the 2017 Junior World Series Indoor Netball in July this year!
Throughout primary school, I participated in a range of different sports that were presented to me and my love for netball developed in year 5. Since then I have committed myself to the game and really excelled in the sport. My first encounter with indoor netball was when I trialed for the Junior World Series team. To be selected for this team has come as a huge surprise and I feel extremely excited and proud to be playing in the under 14’s team over in South Africa.
I would like to say a massive thank you to my tour coach – Tony Ah Chee for recognising my talent! My coach has had a big influence on my progress and growth in this achievement. I have grown to love the indoor game of netball and I am really looking forward to wearing the silver fern and representing New Zealand.
