Description
My name is Noah Hotham, I am 13 years old. My parents would describe me as a sports fanatic who is competitive and loves to win. Ever since a young age, I have followed in my family’s sporting footsteps. Touch rugby has been a game which I have grown up with and been involved in since I was a toddler. My Mum, Dad and four siblings have all played representative sports which have been a financial strain on my parents. Since I was six, I have been lucky enough to represent Waikato for Touch which has been a great experience. In February of this year, I was selected for the New Zealand Under 16 Touch Team after competing in the youth national Touch tournament with Waikato. This New Zealand team will be touring the Gold Coast in September. Selected athletes need to self-fund $3,500 towards the tour costs.
As a youngster, I spent a lot of time playing touch with my family. Ever since I was little, I have been playing sport, touch, rugby, soccer, anything I had time for and of course with competition – comes fees. I am the youngest of a family of 5 children who are also very passionate about sport. My siblings have all played a representative sport which has been a financial strain on my parents. Mum and Dad struggle financially to support all five of us in our various sporting codes. My family and I are firm believers that if you want something you must work hard to get it. To achieve my goal of raising this large amount of money ($3,500) I want to take the stress off my parents’ shoulders and find a suitable, smart way to raise some of the funds. This is why I am asking for your support to help me reach my goal.
Thank you.
Noah
