Description
Hi my name is Nikau and I have been selected to compete in two international baseball tournaments in 2018!
Here is my story..
I played my first game when I was 4 and can remember swinging the bat and hitting the ball for the first time. Ever since then I have loved the game. I recently played in a tournament and won Auckland’s Best Under 13 Pitcher, which I am very proud of. I am now 12 years of age and have been recently selected to represent New Zealand in two Baseball Tournaments. The Asia-Pacific and Middle East Regional Tournament hosted by Korea in June. And the prestigious Cal Ripken American Youth World Series Baseball Tournament, in Branson Massouri in August.
My goals
My lifelong dream is to become a major league baseball player.
Through hard work, dedication and training, it was my goal to be selected to represent New Zealand at the Cal Ripkin Tournament this year. I am fortunate enough to have achieved this and now wish to follow my dreams!
This funding will help cover the costs of flights, accommodation, transportation, food and tournament fees. I come frome a large blended family where my parents work and try hard to support us with everything we aim to achieve, so I would like to try my very best to do so as well.
