Hi, I’m Ella, I am 17 years old and I have been selected to compete in Beach Volleyball at the Youth Commonwealth Games in July 2017!
I have recently qualified for the Youth Commonwealth Games to be held in the Bahamas in July this year. I also represented New Zealand last year in Thailand at the U17 Asian Championships. Both of these incredible opportunities have taken a lot of hard work and dedication.
Volleyball is a minority sport which means that it is not funded and this time I need to raise $8500 in order to compete in the Games. My parents always support me in everything that I do and have helped me to fund many overseas trips in the past. However, to raise the necessary funds for this trip – I really need your help! I am in year 13 and the balance between trying to maintain my excellence grades and my sporting commitments makes it very difficult for me to hold down a part-time job. Any support that you can give me will take me one step closer to being able to compete in the Youth Commonwealth Games!
