Hi, I am Denva Shaw-Tait – Softball is my passion and I have been selected to attend the U19 Junior Women’s Softball World Series in Florida, USA in July 2017
I have played ever since I was little and have represented Hutt Valley in various age grades. I have recently been named in the New Zealand Junior White Sox Team to the attend the U19 Junior World Championships in Clearwater, Florida in July 2017. I am proud and excited that I have achieved my goal of making the New Zealand U19 team this year. I can’t wait to get there to test myself on the world stage.
This year I was co-captain of the Under 19 Hutt Valley team that won the national title. I also played for the Hutt Valley Women’s National Fastpitch Team. I am a current member of the Saints Premier Women’s team and really enjoy the family culture and support that I receive from both our team and club. My team and I are training hard to be in the best possible physical condition we can be in when we get to Florida in July.
SPORTING GOALS
I am very excited to travel to Florida and showcase my skills. I am working towards achieving my goal of securing a College scholarship at a US college and ultimately making the White Sox Team.
