I am a year 12 student and I attend Tauraroa Area School. In my first year at Tauraroa, I decided that I wanted to play sports that I have never played before so I played all kinds of sports like Football, Netball, Hockey and Volleyball.
Sports has influenced my life positively and continues to do so to this day. I love to be part of a team.
This year I had the opportunity to compete for my school in the Northland Area Schools Tournament. My codes were Volleyball and Football and I am proud to say that for both the codes I participated in I was selected for to go to the tournament that is held down in Dunedin. I am so grateful to have been given this great opportunity but the only thing that is holding me back is the amount of money that is needed for this trip.
I am living with my Aunty, Uncle and two cousins money is tight when we are all around the same age and going on trips that have a huge cost to it. I hope that I am able to go on this trip as it will be a new experience for me and I’ll also have the chance of being selected for a North Island team and hopefully the NZ team as well.
KOHINE HAS BEEN SELECTED TO REPRESENT NORTHLAND AREA IN DUNEDIN FOR BOTH VOLLEYBALL AND FOOTBALL!
I have been selected for the Northland Area School’s volleyball and football teams. We will be participating in a tournament that will be held Dunedin. We will be playing against other regions in New Zealand and have the chance to be selected to represent the New Zealand area schools football and volleyball teams.
