Description
Hi I am Aroha Hibbert and I love playing softball!
Here is my story..
I am a motivated self-starter with a plan in motion to achieve my short and long term goals. I am working part time to support the costs of my sporting activities and begin building a work life history. I’ve not decided exactly what I am going to pursue yet in terms of a career. However, I am considering my education abroad and leveraging my sport to do so. I am a representative hockey and softball player and have represented New Zealand, both at home as well as overseas in my sport!
Family is very important to me. I am close with my siblings, parents and wider whanau. Born in Prague, my heritage represents a mixture of European and Maori descent. I come from a very supportive family, with a good group of friends. I have been taught to have a good attitude and work ethic to approach problems logically. I am generally quiet, but can promote my opinions when required. I accept that I will make mistakes along the way but I have a positive outlook on life in general and I am driven to make all posts a winner.
Personal Achievements:
– U17s Wellington Softball Team – 2017 Captain
– U19s Wellington Softball Team – 2017/2018
– Women’s Wellington NFC Softball Team – 2018
– Junior White Sox training squad – 2017/2018
– Junior White Sox Team – 2018
I am writing to seek financial assistance to help with the participation to play in the prestigious tournament – The Canada Cup in July 2018. This tournament is a part of preparation for the Junior White Sox campaign for the world championship next year. It would mean everything to me, to compete in this tournament.
