Description
Hi, My name is Freya Lodge and I can’t wait to represent New Zealand in football!
Here is my story…
I am 14 years old and have been selected to play for the Under 15 New Zealand Secondary Schools Girls Football team. We are going to Sydney on the 8th July to play against other Australian Under 15 teams. I am so proud to be representing NZ playing the sport I love.
I started playing football when I was 4 years old, now I play/train 6 times a week and never get tired of it. I play for the Future Pride team and we train at English Park in Christchurch. The team I play in is an all girls team that competes in the boys competition. I like to show the boys we’re just as good as them!
My Football Goals:
I want to focus on improving my game, as my dream is to play for the Football Ferns in the World Cup!
I am one of three sporty kids in my family, so my Mum and Dad do a lot of driving to various sporting commitments such as football, netball and equestrian events. Mum and Dad have asked me to help contribute to the costs of this trip. To do this, I am helping out with odd jobs, babysitting and selling walnuts, but with short winter days and football commitments it is difficult.
I would sincerely appreciate any financial help you can support me with. I promise to work extremely hard whilst wearing the New Zealand shirt!
