Hi my name is Charlie and I have been selected to compete in the World Championships in Baku, this year!
Here is my story..
Ever since I was about 10, I’ve dreamed of standing on a podium, listening to the national anthem play, with the Olympic Rings hung behind me. These next few years I aim to make that dream a reality through a hard work ethic, building my abilities. I am passionate beyond measure about my sport, and am devoted to climbing to top, and becoming the fastest, strongest, and most skilful rider I can possibly be. I go through adversity with my head held high, and squeeze as much experience and learnings as I can from the lows. And gain confidence, belief, determination and motivation from the highs. Whether this race or any other goes my way or not, not a moment will be wasted as long as progression is made. I go through training and races with a key message, “may the space between where I am, and where I want to be, inspire me”. I dedicate myself to giving my all no matter what, and I do it my way.

1st NZ National Championship. NZ Senior Test Team Representative. NZ World Championship Team Representative Team.

2015 – 2016 SEASON
4 x Scholarship recipient to St Peters College, Cambridge. (home of cycling)
Winner – Taupo District Year 7-8 Sportsperson of the Year
