Hi my name is Sierra, I am 13 years old and have a love for softball!
Here is my story..
I love all sport but my two main passions are softball and rugby. This year I have been selected for the New Zealand Under13 ISA Softball Tournament Team, traveling to Canada in July. Competing in Canada would get me one step closer to achieving my goal of making the 2020 Olympics.
Being selected for this team was so exciting to hear but also a little sad, as I knew it was a large cost. My parents try their best to help me achieve my sporting dreams and support me as much as they can. My Dad works hard and my Mum has to stay home to care for my sick brother. I have been working to earn extra money to help my parents with the cost, but it is hard as I am only 13 and have to balance this with schoolwork and trainings.
My recent achievements:
This year I was awarded Most Promising Female player in softball.
I play in two representative teams, one is an Under 17 team.
If you feel in your heart that you can support my dream, I promise to make New Zealand proud on the international stage!
