Description
Hi, I am Ryley Griffiths, I have been selected to represent NZ for Archery and will travel internationally during April and July!
I have been training and competing in Archery for three years and in that time I have been successful in breaking all NZ records in my age group.
Each week I dedicate 1 hour 3 days a week in the pool and have archery practise 3 times during the week and over most weekends. My first goal was to be the youngest to represent NZ and I have now achieved this. My second goal was to be selected in the Under 15 age group to represent NZ at the World Youth Oceania’s and I have now been selected. Long term, I would love to compete at the Olympics.
Archery is a self funded sport and I am needing to find financial support so that I am able to compete in a range of international competitions.
Over the past weeks, I have featured in the local newspaper. This has resulted in young kiwi kids being interested in taking up this sport. I also enjoy helping younger children that attend our club’s “Have A Go Days”.
