Hi, we are the Ngamotu Under 14 boys basketball team!
We are raising funds to compete in the U16 Division at the 2018 Eltham, Dandenong Tournament. This is the largest junior basketball tournament in the world and the trip presents a unique opportunity for us to experience higher level basketball and grow as young men.

The community benefits through the great work that the Ngamotu Hoop Club does in bringing together children from all walks of life and giving them purpose, fitness and a sense of togetherness. Our head coach, Josh is a role model and mentor for all the children he coaches. He regularly goes out of his way to assist the kids in any way he can. Hoop club travels regularly to other regional tournaments but this would be the first international trip. The exposure this trip would give to Hoop Club would further encourage kids to join and press forward in making basketball a bigger sport locally and nationally.
Ngamotu Hoop Club is based out of Taranaki and operates an academy along with providing youth development programmes with over 100 kids participating. NHC head coach / director Josh Reeves has experience playing and coaching in the USA, and recently returned from a coaching development trip to Serbia where he worked with Euroleague powerhouse “Crvena Zvezda”. Josh is also involved with the Basketball NZ Talent program and has coached age group teams for New Plymouth Basketball Association and Basketball Taranaki.
Funds received will help to cover costs of uniforms, travel, accommodation and tournament costs.
