Kiante has been selected to represent New Zealand in the U16 Touch Rugby team that will tour Australia in September this year!
Hi, I am Kiante, I am 14 and live in Whangarei. I am one of six children.
I have always wanted to become a professional sportswoman in Netball, Rugby 7’s or Touch Rugby and my ultimate life goal has always been to play sport at a professional level. I have been able to raise my level of fitness and resilience with the hard work that I have had to commit to achieving at this level. These challenges empowered me to continue striving towards my goal. My love and passion for sport have driven my enthusiasm and I have learnt that ‘only you can control the outcome’.
My parents are extremely supportive of me and my siblings sports and show us a huge amount of commitment. However, being selected for this National Touch Rugby team to travel to Australia is going to require additional financial support.
