Hi, I’m Jordan Thompson, I am 16 and I have been selected to play in the World Sanix Youth Tour for rugby for the Hastings Boys High 1StXV. The tournament will take place in Japan during April and May 2018.
I am hoping that I may be able to receive financial support to be part of this team and get to Japan!
I started playing rugby when I was 4 and have always loved it. At the age of 13 I made the NZ U15 touch team to tour Australia for 8 days. The experience gained through this competition developed me as a player and I have gone on to play in our open mens team here in Hastings. Last year I was fortunate enough to travel away with this team to the Fijian Cup held in Fiji.
Last year as a Year 11 I played 1st XV rugby and had a great season. We were successful in winning the national championship.
My parents have had a huge part in supporting me and work hard to gather as much funding for my trip as possible.
My dream is to become an all black and make both NZ and my parents proud.
