Description
Hi, my name is Jack Bunce, I am 17 years old and I have the good fortune of being a skipper for the under 21 New Zealand Teams Sailing Team going to Lake Garda, Italy.
I will compete at the 420 Youth World Teams Sailing Championships in August 2017.
I have been a member of the Kerikeri High School Sailing Team for the last four years and have been a skipper for the past two years. I hold two national titles and two interdominion titles under my belt, along with that I was a member of the Kerikeri High School Sailing Team that placed 1st and 2nd in the Harken Schools Regatta in 2016 and 2017. Due to our result, we qualified to race in the New Zealand Match Race Championships and placed in the Super 16.
I have been sailing for four years now and would consider my greatest strength to be my ability to learn fast. I am really looking forward to competing overseas and joining the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s Youth Training Program next year.
