Eclipse Under 16 Marching Team are entering into their 4th season and have established themselves as a strong team in the Canterbury region with taking out New Zealand 2nd place in their grade at the end of last season. They also placed 1st in their display routine. The team’s aim this season is to retain or better their placing! The Coach feels strongly about providing a ‘family’ atmosphere to help girls grow in their confidence and feel a sense of belonging. As a team, we provide an opportunity for girls to keep fit and have fun while participating in their chosen sport. We are helping to develop responsible, caring and disciplined team members, who will also use these skills to become valuable members of our community.

The team’s aim this season is to retain or better their placing.The team trains twice a week and holds two training camps during the season to help the girls bond and provide more intense training. They compete at weekly competitions between October and March plus compete at South Island and New Zealand Championships.

In the same season as the Under 16 team started, a kiwi team was also established for girls aged between 5 to 8 years of age. Due to the success of the these two teams, an Under 12 team was bought out the following year followed by a senior team this season.
