Hi, my name is Dylan Bateson and I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Youth Muaythai World Championships in Thailand! 

I live in West Auckland with my Mum, Dad, sister and our dog. Throughout my lifetime I have tried a number of sports but have come to believe that I have found the sport for me.I’ve been doing Muaythai boxing for one and a half years now and I train at the Strike Force gym in New Lynn. This gym has become my home away from home as I train for 3 hours a day for 6 days a week.  In April I competed at Nationals and earned my spot in the New Zealand Black Gloves team.  I will travel to Thailand to represent New Zealand at the Youth Muaythai World Championships. My goals are to enjoy the experience of competing against some of the best youth athletes in the world and to hopefully bring home a medal!
