My name is Dillon Martin and I love playing sport especially Touch Rugby and Rugby union.
The 2016/2017 season for Touch is the first year that I have played at a representative level. I was selected in the Waikato U16 mixed team and we trained hard, went to lots of tournaments and finally to the nationals in February this year.
My team played hard in every game, but unfortunately we did not manage to make the top 4. In our 8 games I managed to score 8 tries and enjoyed the experience at playing at that level and against such talented players. Following the nationals I was selected in the NZ Touch under 16 mixed team to travel to Australia later this year. My year continued to get better by having the chance to play in the Senior A Touch Team for Hamilton Boys High School – this is a great achievement for me.
I love my sport and have a huge passion for Touch Rugby. I train hard and put in my full commitment into everything I do and this has paid off. I would love the chance to put on that silver fern and have the opportunity to representing my country.
I will be grateful for any support that you may be able to give me, Dillon.
We would be traveling to the Gold Coast for 9 days to compete against local and representative teams.
We are needing to pay for travel accommodation and Uniform.
