My name is Aroha and I am 15 years old. I am a year 12 student at Sacred Heart College in Lower Hutt.

I have been selected in the Junior White Sox softball team whom will travel to Hawaii in July 2016 to compete at the prestigious invitational tournament.

The cost associated with participation is a minimum of $5000 and is fully self funded.

We have started group fundraising activities and I am very lucky to be supported by my family and friends, however every bid helps and I am looking for further donations toward my goal of representing New Zealand.

Aroha also excels in Hockey playing for her school’s first XI team and has achieved Wellington representative status many times, not only as a player, but also a leader and a Captain and Vice-Captain on a number of successful campaigns. Aroha has achieved level 1 in her first year of NCEA and has a sound record of achievement academically and as a member of her wide community in general.

Aroha is a very humble and likeable young lady with an outstanding attitude and has many friends. She is a fantastic ambassador for all young Maori.

I have a numerous sporting awards over the years in the various age groups. My greatest aspiration is to represent NZ and play professionally for a college in America witch will provide an extended education, something I am very passionate about and am on track to achieve.

I aspire to be the best I can be, I am driven to succeed and I am committed to my sport.
