Hi, we are the Allstars Marching club! We want to continue practising and competing in our local competitions, to be able to prepare and succeed in a national performance!

Here is our story..

The Allstars Marching club began three seasons ago, where our coach started the club after coaching with Shontae Marching club for 10 years. The focus of the club is to encourage young girls to get involved with the sport and offer a place that feels like a home away from home, while learning a fun sport with lots to offer.

When we first began we used second-hand uniforms, gear and boots. After a successful first season, we developed a team of 9 girls in the under 16 grade, and 9 in the under 12 grade. Both teams competed at the South Island and National championships. In March 2018, our under 16s won their division for display and placed 2^nd in technical, this was an outstanding achievement as 6 girls had never marched before.  Now we have set the bar even higher for ourselves and are determined to make the top grade in March 2019 as well as perform in Australia in April 2019.

Since our first year, we have grown considerably, with 15 girls in each team and also an open team, made up of 10 girls.  We consider each other as family.

We come from a variety of backgrounds, many from low income or single parent families and do not want our involvement in the sport to suffer because of these barriers.

We would like to use the funds from this campaign to cover uniforms, competition entries, team levies and registration costs. Hopefully this will enable us to keep our joining costs low and more affordable. It will also help us to compete locally and further afield, get the experience we need before competing at both South Island and National championships.
