$1200 RAISED BY GREYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL COAST TO COAST TEAM

The GHS Coast to Coast team had a massive setback in 2015 , with the injury of their kayaker who fractured his neck. They needed support to get the replacement kayaker to attend a Kayak School course before settling in to a gruelling training regime for summer.

The team raised $1200!

The boys recently competed in the Mountain Man Race.  They were successful in the race gaining first in the Youth Section and were the 2nd fastest team home overall!

To the i-SPORT Foundation team

We would sincerely like to thank you (and our donors) for the generous contributions and support we have had towards our Coast to Coast team of Max and George Rubbo and Ben Williams.

The contributions allowed our kayaker Max Rubbo to attend the New Zealand Kayak School in Murchison.  At this school Max was able to learn the required skills to pass the Grade Two certificate that is needed to compete in the Coast to Coast.  You will be pleased to know that Max passed this grade with ease and is now concentrating on training.

The team was also able to compete in the Mountain Man race held here in Greymouth, this was a very good warm up race for the Coast to Coast.  The boys were very successful in this race, they won the Youth Section but were also the 2nd fastest team home overall.  They completed the race in five hours and 46 minutes.

Race date is approaching fast and even though it is school holidays, the boys have been fully committed to training and are ready to take on the challenge of the Coast to Coast.

Once again, we thank you for all you have done for our team.  The work you do for our youth sportspeople is amazing.

Yours sincerely
