Description
My name is Poasa Uiese, I am 13 years old and come from a little town world famous for L&P.
When I was 6 years old, my mother took me to soccer practice – it was where I started my love for sports. I loved playing soccer and enjoyed every moment with my team mates and friends. These times were GOLD, as my family was always on the sideline cheering and loving to watch me play. In the following year, dad took me along to rugby training – I absolutely loved it.
My parents have continued to support me. They have paid a lot of money over the years providing lots of opportunities for me since I first started playing at the age of 7. They have accompanied me to my games and tournaments to Tauranga, Rotorua, Whangarei, Auckland and Hamilton. I also have a 10 year old sister who plays netball. The increasing cost of financially supporting us is becoming very difficult.
I want to find ways to help with the costs associated in attending the rugby intermediate course at the International Rugby Academy in Palmerston North during July.
